HOW TO USE ORABI-LS TOTAL CAPSULE

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ORABI-LS Total Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.

HOW ORABI-LS TOTAL CAPSULE WORKS

ORABI-LS 30mg/20mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Rabeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the ORABI-LS Total Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Levosulpiride and Rabeprazole. Levosulpiride is a prokinetic which works by increasing the release of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger). This increases the movement of stomach and intestines, and prevents reflux (acid going up to the food pipe). Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and ulcers.

ORABI-LS TOTAL CAPSULE RELATED WARNINGS

  • Alcohol : It is unsafe to consume alcohol with ORABI-LS Total Capsule SR. Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
  • Pregnancy : 1. ORABI-LS Total Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

    2. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

  • Lactation : No information is available on the use of ORABI-LS Total Capsule during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
  • Driving : Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
  • Kidney : 1. There is limited information available on the use of ORABI-LS Total Capsule in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.

    2. However, limited data suggest a cautious use of this medicine in these patients.

  • Liver : ORABI-LS Total Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of ORABI-LS Total Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
