ORPUMP-40 Tablet is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.

How to use ORPUMP-40 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ORPUMP-40 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How ORPUMP-40 ablet works

ORPUMP-40 Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.

• Alcohol :
• Pregnancy :

  1. ORPUMP-40 Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.

  2. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

• Lactation : ORPUMP-40 Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
• Driving : ORPUMP-40 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
• Kidney :
  1. ORPUMP-40 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of ORPUMP-40 Tablet is recommended.

  2. However, the use of ORPUMP-40 Tablet is not advised along with other medicines used for the treatment of Helicobacter Pylori infection.

• Liver : ORPUMP-40 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of ORPUMP-40 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of ORPUMP-40 Tablet?

If you miss a dose of ORPUMP-40 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
